Nutrigenomics:
the science of individualized nutrition*

The Blood Type Diet®

Whenever you eat, a chemical reaction occurs between your blood and the foods you eat or the supplements and herbs you take.

This explains why some foods that may be harmful to the cells of one blood type may be beneficial to the cells of another.

Any harmful (beneficial) effect on the cellular level, however, has a negative (positive) effect on your immune system and the corresponding consequences for your health and wellbeing in the short- as well as long term.

* Nutrigenomics is found to also be spelled in the following ways: nutrigenomic, nutrigenomica, nutrigenomika.

Other factors

There are, however, other factors apart from the blood type that need to be taken into account when it comes to determining which foods, herbs, supplements, exercise and stress management techniques will give you the results you want:

·         good health,

·         ideal weight,

·         well-proportioned body,

·         optimal Body Mass Index,

·         desired level of fitness.

The genes that you have inherited and the environment that you have been exposed to (e.g. environmental pollution, availability of resources) play a vital role in these processes.

The information about your natural predisposition towards health or disease, and consequently the level of your physical and emotional wellbeing as well as your lifespan, is coded in your body shape, blood type, fingerprints, taste buds, teeth, the length of your fingers and the proportions of your body.

All these characteristics, along with the rest of our genetic potential, are inherited.

Prevention is better than a cure

You can change your genetic destiny

by changing the way your genes are expressed,

much in the same way you can make music louder by turning up the volume by pressing the volume control button.

The science of individuality exposes those genetic traits that can be naturally awakened or suppressed, often through the foods we eat.

Being attuned to your particular, unique physiology - the gene mix you have inherited from your ancestors - means:

·         you can significantly reduce your health risks,

·         optimise your weight,

·         maximise your physical and intellectual performance,

·         increase your overall quality of life and

·         lengthen your life span.
